As 2014 draws to a close and we've stuffed ourselves with turkey, mince pies and sherry, we're feeling rather reflectful. It's been quite a year.
We worked with Nails Inc on their exclusive collaboration with the one and only Victoria Beckham! These gorgeous polishes made their way into the hands of a few select influencers and soon had people in a polish frenzy. We think it look really rather lovely on Caroline from Burkatron.
We made music super fans dreams come true as they got to hang out online with their favourite bands, whilst a whole bunch of American bloggers got to attend some of the gigs, thanks to Skype's Ones To Watch initiative.
When Eurostar celebrated their 20th birthday, we went out to some of our favourite interweb ladies to ask what impact they thought the ease of travel has had on European culture. As a very special thank you, we then sent them to Paris (or for our Parisienne friends London) for them to get to experience Eurostar first hand before reporting back on their favourite finds during their trip. Carrie from Wish Wish Wish had our mouths watering for scrumptious burgers. We're now looking as rotund as Santa! Thanks Carrie.
To make up for the unhealthy burger obsession that we gained thanks to Carrie, we were super happy to continue our relationship with Kellogg's on All-Bran (which just coincidentally also happens to be our favourite cereal). We challenged bloggers throughout Europe to take the All-Bran 5 day challenge to report honestly on what impact they felt it had. We sent them some cute little goodies as part of a hamper to enjoy it to the max! We're so happy that Paula from Pink Bow loves cereal as much as us!
We went stationery nuts with Smiggle. Um, hello... it's stationery! Whilst most of the activity was based around the young hip kids of the blog world (we're not bitter at all!), we were pleased to find that we aren't the only ones over the age of 25 with a stationery obsession.
Throughout the year, we've done a lot of work with Vodafone as part of their 'Firsts' campaign. We've loved working with them - we've experienced Nans having their first ride on a rollercoaster, the first football game livestreamed to a village in Africa whilst their local youth team were flown to compete in an English league, one man’s mission to refurbish Europe’s biggest outdoor skate park and re-launch Budapest’s skate scene and a band picked from obscurity to perform at Wembley for Capital's Summertime Ball. Our favourite of all of the campaigns has to be making some firsts happen for influencers around Europe. It was great to see so many dreams coming true and the emotion experienced when you do something for the first time. One 'First' that springs to mind was Veronica from Veronique Tres Jolie who went paragliding for the first time. Brave girl!
We helped The Greedy Book with their re-launch, getting along some of London's finest bloggers to their launch party where they were given calligraphy and gift wrapping tutorials. It was all round fabulous. We then created some books for some of our bloggers with bits we thought they'd love. We spent a lot of time looking at pretty things! It's a hard life but someone has to do it.
Then of course, there was the incredibly decadent launch of Kiss The Moon at the Charlotte Street Hotel. A handful of bloggers were invited to enjoy the perfect night's sleep. Having met the team and been taken through their tailored consultation, the girls were treated to a blissful night in a scented room with their chosen products for a gorgeous bubble bath. I've never seen bloggers so keen to head to bed!
We've made lots of gorgeous beauty, fashion and lifestyle bloggers even more glamorous, showing that lashes can look as good as fakies without the need for glue. Partnering with JICA, we sampled JICA Lash (a fibre lash product which you apply between coats of mascara) and Envyderm which is a lash lengthening serum.
Working with Legacy Sportswear to encourage bloggers to #LeaveYourLegacy. Asking them to set themselves challenges to better themselves over the period of a month and updating their readers, the bloggers were sent sportswear to give them a push in the right direction. It's amazing some of the results that we saw.
We ended the year with a bang - showcasing some of the world's best cabaret talent at Scarfe's Bar, Rosewood London. Some of our favourites guys and dolls joined us to enjoy the top class entertainment laid on by Scarfes, along with far too many bubbles and scrumptious nibbles. Sunday evenings will never be the same again now that we know such fun exists, hidden away in the depths of the Capital.
We've had an incredible year, not only have we worked with some amazing brands, more importantly we've made some awesome new friendships with fab influencers and have got to hung out with some of our old faves. It's been incredible to see up and coming bloggers getting some amazing opportunities and those more established getting the recognition that they so rightly deserve. We're incredibly grateful to each and every one of you. Tribal wouldn't exist if it wasn't for you. Thank you.
Big love, the Tribal Team xox
